Instructions for use: loading
In order to stay in use, the Cartridge System needs to contain always two cartridges.
1 Unscrew the barrel tip from the pen and remove the Cartridge System. 2 Open the Cartridge System by unscrewing the screw closing mechanism. 3 Prepare the 2 cartridges. 4 Insert the first cartridge and then the second by following the instructions. 5 Screw in the closing mechanism fully. 6 Insert the Cartridge System in the pen and screw in the pen knob.
Note: Carry out this procedure in reverse to replace the cartridges. The used cartridge remains secured to the screw closing mechanism and can be used as the second cartridge inside the Cartridge System.
Cleaning the Cartridge System fountain pen:
- Use cold water to clean the cartridge holder and the inside of the fountain pen barrel, vertically and
from the top of the barrel, each time a cartridge is replaced.
- A few seconds and several writing attempts are needed for ink to be released from the nib when the pen is used for the first time and after it has been cleaned. This is because the capillary in the ebonite feeder must be full of ink.
- Take special care in cleaning the barrel when the colour of the ink is changed.
