OMAS historically commits its name and its artisanal manufacturing to ART.
Starting from this year we are pleased to introduce the certified “Signature Edition” that will involve, year by year, a different Artist whom we share the same interest and passion for Art with.
Handwriting is the basis for all Art, both for drafting a text, a poem, a painting, a sculpture and for writing music.
It is with great pride, that today we announce our collaboration with the Music Composer Ludovico Einaudi for the first of the series “Signature Edition”.
Ludovico Einaudi and his masterpieces represent one of the best signatures of MADE IN ITALY on an international basis.
His live performances, wherever they take place in Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Opera House, Sidney, Olimpya, Paris or Royal Albert Hall, London, always collect enormous acclaim from a large audience who is prompt in appreciating his elegant and harmonious melodies.
Ludovico Einaudi’s music, thought and written before being performed and his unique style, being minimal and deep at the same time, have represented a very natural source of inspiration for OMAS. Drafting lines and designs of our writing instruments symbolically match relentless and intimate pace the composer creates.
Writing pays tribute to art of music, that is capable of both making us recall memories of the past and of making us dedicate precious time during listening or writing, feeding our own creativity.
Master Einaudi and us, together, have chosen to reinterpretate our historical collection Arte Italiana, with matt finishing that for the first time appear on the cotton resin.
The metal components, also in matt finishing and with the engraved Composer’ signature standing on the cap ring, also enrich the classic minimal and elegant touch of the Composer.
The “Ludovico Einaudi Signature Edition by OMAS” is composed by The Paragon, with piston filling system, and the Milord range made of the Fountain Pen with converter/cartridge system, the Rollerball, the Ballpoint and the Mechanical Pencil.
Thanks to the sale of each writing instrument, made in certified edition of 255 pieces per each model, we will donate part of the revenue to the NGO “Soleterre” to sustain, together, the Education rights.
